Welcome to the world of ye Phasiani lacus Manerium - Latin for Manor of Pheasant Hollow where we all share a common interest in Tudor Elizabethan Renaissance recreation and other anachronism play from 1066AD to 1605AD. We of Phasiani lacus Manerium are members of an anachronism group known as the Adrian Empire or should I say more specificy we belong as members to the Duchy of Connacht, which recreates the ages from 1066 to the 1603 and enjoy a common interest in crafts, that allow us to have more enjoyment as we explore the development of our persona. Within Phasiani lacus Manerium we have arts and sciences crafts roundtable, -- There is even two of us that are forming the foundation of two new guilds (under construction) purposed guilds. The purposed guilds are under construction and will have there own chat room also designed by Mistress Christiana. Mistress Christiana will be responsible in creating the web blog for Pattern Makers, tailors and dressmakers while Master Kasper will guide the hand of Christiana in designing the Carpenters and Woodcarvers; for these two guilds so talent does not stop here. Master Kasper is a old school woodcarver, a lutier and guitar player of folk and medieval music, while Mistress Christiana enjoys rapier, archery, culinary arts, persona research, all aspects of woodworking, garb making (Tudor and Elizabethan) and even tries something new once in awhile in garb making, research, and challenges, she plays medieval drums, and is currently during research in the making of period musical instruments and has successfully created in her woodworking shop, guitars, lutes, and harps.
The web blog site is open to all, and those that may want to join the chat room, must be an Adrian member in good standing. A chat room site is set up for those that wish to join but must be a member the Adrian Empire. Please do not leave the I join box empty, but please fill in your name, membership number if known, and reason. We of Phasiani lacus Manerium will soon get back to you. If the I want to join box just has a name, unless we know of you, you will not be allowed to join the chat room of either the Phasiani lacus Manerium arts and sciences when up and running, the culinary chat room, or and the Phasiani lacus Manerium chat room. As I Christiana has mention, one should be in good standing with the Adrian Empire.
In the future, Phasiani lacus Manerium like minded individuals with the same interest grows, I Christiana am hoping to have rapier practices, and archery, but this doesn't mean that we are against armoured fighters. If there are some that wish to join, please do so, I am sure we can set up a field for practice and find some marshals. Practices for now are in the Vernon area on Thursday for marshal arts, (go to http://www.connacht.ca/ and click on calendar). Arts and Science (Phasiana lacus Manerium round table will be forwarded by email through the Phasiani lacus chat room for location and time once establish within this part of the known world. Our arts and sciences is different from others, as we consider everyone to be a student and teacher. We all share a desire to learn. For those interested, the Phasiani lacus Manerium has created three area of interest, medieval woodworking and wood carving; costuming, needlework, and cookery.
We now have two very qualified instructors in Phasiani lacus manerium, and yes Mistress Christiana has taught her skills at anachronism group events. Heraldry is also another skill we of Phasiani lacus Manerium have, for during devices and name searches by *Mistress* Christiana. *Lady* Christiana (SCA - title) has acted as Herald during her office post in the Shire of Danescombe from June 2008 to May 2011. *Special note* Adrian uses the title of M'Lady, M'Lord, Mistress or Master as terms of common address, where as M'Lady and M'Lord are common terms in the SCA for common address. Master and Mistress are reserved for those that are lurals or and pelicans which does not exist in Adrian but exist in the SCA. Lord and Lady are reserve for those that run recognized households estates by royal approval in Adrian and must be recognized by the Adrian Estates.
